Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park has been heralded as Canada’s only authentic Aboriginal Experience, a world class facility showcasing the rich and beautiful Blackfoot culture and way of life.
The facility features a large Blackfoot heritage exhibition, a theatre, gift shop, cafeteria and conference facility.
The building is situated on the top of a hill overlooking an expansive valley area of six square miles that comprises of Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park. Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is a historical site where Chief Crowfoot signed Treaty Number Seven, his burial site and a monument to Chief Poundmaker, as well as the Earthlodge Village site.
Experience an authentic Blackfoot camp with your family by lodging in one of our many tipis overnight.
The Buffalo Jump Tipi Village includes overnight lodging up to eight people per tipi.
An immersion into the history and culture of the Blackfoot Nation, located on the spot where they signed Treaty No. 7 in 1877. The visitor's centre includes exhibitions, a gift shop, cafeteria, conference facility and theatre with traditional dance performances. Outside there's a tipi village, pathway system, historical monuments and archaeological excavations. For a truly authentic experience, ask about the tipi sleepover packages in the summer. Guided tours available. Mon to Fri 9 am - 5 pm, Sat 10 am - 4 pm. $10 adult, $8 sen/youth.
