Nova Scotia's largest art gallery displays a wide range of local, national and touring exhibitions, from traditional folk art to innovative contemporary works. Continuing through November 9: Tom Forrestall: Paintings, Drawings, Writings. Forrestall's works showcase the extraordinary beauty in the minutia of everyday objects and life. November 15 to March 1: Flight Dreams. An exploration of the metaphor of flight through the work of Ken Barnes, an aeronautical designer who worked on the Avro Arrow. Continuing through November 16: Show of Hands. Signature folk-art from the Gallery's extensive collection. Continuing through November 16: Centennial. 2008 marks the 100th year since the founding of the Nova Scotia Museum of Fine Arts, forerunner of the Gallery. With works by Helen McNicoll, Ernest Lawson, Gyrth Russell and more this exhibition, is a visual snapshot of the Gallery's last hundred years.
