The last of its kind, this Flower Class Corvette was commissioned in December 1941 and escorted convoys from Canada to Northern Ireland from 1942 to 1944, later serving as a training and research ship. In the 1980s, it was restored to its 1944 appearance and dedicated as Canada's National Naval Memorial. Located behind the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on Lower Water Street until late October. Open daily, 10am to 5pm. 1675 Lower Water St. 429-2132. Off season, is located in the Naval Dockyard, phone for tours: 427-2837.
