MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Explore displays on geology, botany, mammals, birds, marine life, archaeology and First Nations Mi'kmaq quillwork. See a moose, the world's oldest fossils or go nose-to-nose with a pilot whale skeleton. Children are fascinated with the Nature Centre, home to live amphibians, reptiles, a bee colony, sea-life tanks and Gus, an 85-year-old gopher tortoise. In summer, the Butterfly House with live tropical winged wonders is a must-see. Visiting exhibitions throughout the year. Gift shop, pay parking and picnic area on site. Open daily until October 15, 2008; closed Monday the rest of the year. Visit: one to two hours. Admission charged.
