Until Feb. 1: 'Reverse Engineered', featuring work from the 70's by pioneers of the computer-aided silkscreen print. The exhibit includes wall-mounted "plotters" that generate drawings by analysis of these early computer prints. Also on display: 'Invention and Revival: the Colour Drypoints of David Milne and John Hartman'. Milne's invention of the multiple-plate colour drypoint led to a gorgeous body of work. Hartman was the only artist to imitate the technique seriously. This display shows the similarities between the two artists' work and how the latter has pushed the limits of the medium. Also on view: 'Behind the Scenes, Works of Art on Paper' by Ron Martin. This artist is primarily known for his paintings, his work having been shown at the Pollock Gallery in Toronto as an artist influenced by abstract impressionism. This exhibit shows his work on paper, both abstract and figurative. Feb. 16 to April 12: Josée Dubeau, Lorraine gilbert, and Jinny Yu present 'Construction Work'. Also on view: 'The Art of Transformation: The Fantastic in Inuit and Northwest Coast Art'. Closed Mondays.
